LATAM Misleads its customers

My Name is Jorge Seminario a retired US citizen stuck in Peru with no available way of support, looking until perhaps the end of July to return home with my wife. I am part of a group of hundreds of Americans in the same precarious situation (#stuckinperu)and we need help to return home. We are very vulnerable to unscrupulous entities trying to take advantage of our situation. For example, my wife and I have purchased a LATAM round ticket LAX-LIMA_LAX using miles and have the return ticket LIMA-LAX, which LATAM has canceled a couple of times. Recentlyly, LATAM offered us to reschedule our flight, up to end of November, at no extra charge or take a voucher that we can use on any other flight. We took the voucher and today we received it for the monumental sum of $34. So now, for our return home, LIMA-LAX, we have to pay the difference in price which would be approximately $422-$34=$388 for a trip which was already paid for. SHAME ON LATAM !!!!! Please help us return home. The US Embassy is directing us to buy a return ticket for $2,050 per person but is blocking the landing on USA, for no apparent reason, of real humanitarian flights coordinated by Warrior Angeles Rescue (WAR), a non-profit organization . We have other senior citizens in need of medicine and medical care and a few sleeping on the streets. Perú has a high infection rate and its citizens don't respect the Covid-19 guidelines. They will be lifting the curfew in a few days and it will be a very dangerous place to be in. Jorge Seminario
